Central to our approach to competitive gymnastics training is the belief that it is the journey, not the destination or the result of any competition or contest, that is most important. This undertaking will give children a stage on which to develop their confidence, poise, individuality, mental and physical discipline, determination, appreciation for effort and self-respect. We measure our success not by the number of trophies on the wall, but rather by what each child can take away with them when they leave the sport of gymnastics.
TEGA staff is committed to providing children with the best training possible. We believe emphasis on correct form, proper technique, and precise execution will result in the best competitive experience possible for the gymnasts. Adhering to a strength, flexibility and training regime, along with proper level progressions will help accomplish our goals. Our philosophy demands that we take our responsibility toward each child and his/her development very seriously. Each of our coaches plays a vital role in the experience a child will have in this great and demanding sport! And, while it is true that we strive for excellence in every program at TEGA, we must remember that the pursuit of victory without leaving room for FUN, is actually NO FUN at all!
18 years in business and TEGA continues to have an extremely successful boys and girls competitive gymnastics team. Over the years, TEGA has trained numerous gymnasts who recieved full scholarships to compete at major universities. Team TEGA trains at the largest Junior Olympic training facility in West Texas with more combined national level coaching experience than anyone in the area. Come visit with any of our coaching staff to see why we are the obvious choice when it comes to choosing a competitive gymnastic program.
Coaching Staff includes former Level 10 All-Around Gymnasts, State, Regional, National and International competitors, three NCAA Scholarship Recipients, NCAA All Americans, NCAA All-Around and Event Champions, U.S. National Team Members, one Olympic Trial Competitor, and 60 years of combined coaching experience!
